A day marked by regret and depression – the worse it is, the better the night before was.
James Blake's self-titled Debut LP |
JAMES BLAKE is named in just about every list of people to watch in 2011. You may have heard of him but for those of you with your heads firmly inserted in your arse JAMES BLAKE is a producer of electronic music possibly best know for his cover of FEISTS track LIMIT TO YOUR LOVE from her album THE REMINDER.
His music fits uncomfortably into the POST-DUBSTEP genre which is a shame because anytime you start labeling music by genre as mentioned in BEAT DOWN SATURDAY you immediately give it a used by date.
He’ll be out here for this years SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS as well as sideshows at THE PRINCE in MELBOURNE 26/07 and THE FACTORY in SYDNEY 28/07 which has sold out whilst I was um-ing and arr-ing about the ticket price. Silly me.
Check out the clip for his track THE WILHELM SCREAM from his self-titled debut LP released back in February.
